• Content you create: Posts, photos, check-ins, and comments you share on the Footprint social layer.
• Device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and compatibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Trexplora app and its features
• Personalise your discovery experience and vibe recommendations
• Enable social features including follows, likes, and check-ins
• Detect your nearest university for Campus Vibe mode (with permission)
• Improve app performance, diagnose bugs, and enhance features
• Communicate with you about account activity and updates
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and at rest using industry-standard encryption.

We implement row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to view. Sensitive credentials are stored using secure storage mechanisms on your device and are never stored in plain text.

4. Location Data

Trexplora requests access to your device's location to power core features including place discovery, GPS check-ins, and campus detection. Location access is always optional — you may deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

We do not share precise location data with third parties. Aggregated, anonymised location trends may be used to improve place recommendations within the app.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Third-party services we use to operate the app (e.g., Supabase for database, Google for AI features), bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Trexplora is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 8. Cookies and Tracking

The Trexplora mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (trexplora.com) may use minimal, functional cookies to maintain session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

9. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Google Gemini AI — AI-powered suggestions and recommendations
• Google Maps — map rendering and place data
